Ambassador Vahram Kazhoyan’s Meeting with Deputy Director General of International Organizations Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam Mr. Pham Binh Anh.

Vahram Kazhoyan Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam had a meeting with Mr. Pham Binh Anh, Deputy Director General of the International Organizations Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam on November 29, 2023.

During the meeting the two sides discussed the cooperation between Armenia and Viet Nam in the framework of international organizations, particularly, in the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change 28 Conference (COP28) currently taking ongoing in Dubai (UAE).

Ambassador Kazhoyan presented the current situation in Armenia, as a result of the aggression and ethnic cleansing against Nagorno-Karabakh by Azerbaijan, as well as the hardships of the life of the forcibly displaced persons who left their homeland and who currently reside in Armenia.

Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia also pointed out that during the large-scale war unleashed against Nagorno-Karabakh by Azerbaijan in 2020, Azerbaijan used phosphorus and cluster bombs the use of which is prohibited by international conventions, which caused irreversible damage to the natural landscape, environment and the flora and fauna of the region.

Ms. Tam Nguyen Assistant of the Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam, and Ms. Pham Thuy Duong, from the Vietnamese side, participated in the meeting.
